The Internationaux de France de Tennis (French Tennis International Championships), better known under the name Roland Garros will take place, this year, from May 26th to June 9th ! The tennis enthusiasts will closely follow, for a dozen of exceptionnal days, all the matches.

 

Roland Garrosis much more than a simple tournament. Launched in 1925, the tournament is now known in the whole world. Roland Garros is well known for its legacy, its atmosphere, its extraordinary surrounding. The atmosphere on the courts is very special.
Thus, each year, thousands of visitors witness the matches or just come to visit the places to soak up the atmosphere by watching the matches on screens inside the buildings.

This year, Novak Djokovic, Roger Federer, Andy Murray, Rafael Nadal, Jo-Wilfried Tsonga, Richard Gasquet, Gilles Simon, Gael Monfils, Victoria Azarenka, Maria Sharopova, Serena Williams, among others will play merciless qualification matches leading to the final, on the Central Court, the Suzanne Lenglen Court, or the side-courts of the Roland Garros facility.

Time Schedule

 

The stadium doors open everyday at 10a.m, from Tuesday May 22nd to Sunday June 10th. The closure is about 45 minutes after the end of the last match.

 

Children's day at Roland Garros

On Saturday may 26th will take place the traditionnal charity day of the French Tennis Federation. On the Philippe-Chatrier, Suzanne-Lenglen an #1 court will be held, from midday to 7p.m, exhibition matches. Like last year, the famous DJ Bob Sinclar will be taking part.

 

Transport

 

In order to go to Roland Garros from the Hotel Tolbiac in less than 45 minutes :

 

For those who prefer the metro, take tke line 7 at the Tolbiac Station until the Jussieu Station, then change to line 10 until Porte d'Auteuil. You will stroll along the anvenue of the Porte d'Auteuil for 500m before turning left in Rue Gordon Bennet.

 

For the lovers of pleasant bus rides, the Line 62 at the exit of the hotel will bring you at Versailles Chardon Lagache, then take the PC1 Bus until Porte Molitor. You will walk 550m along the avenue de la Porte d'Auteuil before turning left in rue Gordon Bennet.
